Sussex is a fantastic place for your fashion photoshoot, whether you’re shooting a whole catalogue or just one outfit we have the perfect location for you. We have picked out a few of our top locations which are all film friendly, easily accessible and a great price.

Beachy Head

Beachy Head in Eastbourne, East Sussex is the UK’s highest chalk sea cliff and offers breathtaking sea views and open landscape. A fantastic location for a photoshoot, you can capture the sea views, Beachy Head Lighthouse and the white chalk cliffs all in the background.

Accessibility: One main car park which can be used to park different size vehicles and several lay-bys along the main road.

Worthing Pier and Seafront

The pier dates back to the early 1800s and has maintained its traditional charm ever since, helping to earn it Pier of the Year 2006 & 2019. With its art deco architecture and stained glass window panels which reflect onto the decking it makes a beautiful setting for a photo shoot.

Accessibility: Parking is available along the seafront and car parks can be found throughout the town. Access onto the promenade may also be available.

Shoreham Beach

The beach lies immediately to the west of the historic harbour, where the River Adur enters the sea. The beach has a boardwalk running along it and beautiful flowering plants growing through the shingles. For a more industrial look, just off the beach you will find an old fort dating back to 1857 and a port which is one of the largest cargo handling Trust ports on the South Coast.

Accessibility: There is on street parking along Beach Road and parking on site at both The Port and The Fort.

Lewes

Lewes offers a number of picturesque locations making it a great choice for a catalogue shoot. The historic twittens, narrow cobbled alleyways dating back to the Saxon times and the traditional looking high street make for a great urban location. In contrast the Railway Land Wildlife Trust is a 27 acre nature reserve nestled on the flood plain of the River Ouse. Backed by the Downland hills, Railway Land makes for a beautiful location with its meadows, footbridges and gates.

Accessibility: There are a number of car parks located throughout the centre of Lewes. For Railway Land there is also a public car park located nearby.

Alfriston Kissing Gate Bridge

Alfriston is a small historic village which lies in the valley of the River Cuckmere. As part of the Kissing Gate walk which takes you along the River Cuckmere you will find The White Bridge. This long white picket fence style bridge makes for a great location with the river running below and tall reeds and open green spaces around.

Accessibility: There are a number of car parks in Alfriston.

Woodland and Water Gardens

This botanical garden has 27 acres of woodland, water gardens and rare exotic plants. In the spring this location makes for a stunning backdrop for any photoshoot as colourful camellias and magnolias grow amid daffodils whilst many other spring flowers flourish here.

Accessibility: There is parking on site.

Peacehaven Promenade and Steps

At the base of the Peacehaven cliffs lies a concrete sea defence and promenade, the chalk cliffs tower above the promenade offering a striking backdrop for any photoshoot. Embedded in the cliffs are stairs leading down to the promenade. Placed in a zig-zag formation the stairs are not easily spotted from the ground but once seen give a real impact which would be perfect for an urban photoshoot.

Accessibility: There is a car park located next to the steps.
