The atmosphere was electric as Zoe Wanamaker and Harvey Goldsmith shared stories and insights from their fascinating careers. It was a true privilege to hear about their journeys, experiences, and the magic that happens behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.
Zoë Wanamaker is a true icon of the British stage and screen. Her illustrious career began with the Royal Shakespeare Company in the mid-seventies, and she’s graced our screens with her exceptional talent in numerous TV dramas. With an impressive eight Olivier nominations and two wins, along with two Tony Award nominations, her theatrical prowess is unparalleled. You’ve seen her in unforgettable roles in Harry Potter, the captivating Britannia series, My Family, Mr Selfridge, My Week With Marilyn, and the acclaimed Edge of Darkness, to name just a few. With BAFTA nominations for Love Hurts and Prime Suspect, Zoë’s contribution to entertainment spans nearly five decades!
Harvey Goldsmith CBE, the mastermind behind some of the most iconic concerts, charity events, and TV broadcasts, graced the evening. Alongside Bob Geldof, he orchestrated the historic Live Aid concert in 1985 and the unforgettable Live 8 event two decades later, both held at Wembley Stadium. Harvey’s philanthropic efforts have included collaborations with Amnesty International, The Prince’s Trust, and The Teenage Cancer Trust. Notably, he orchestrated the legendary Pavarotti concert in Hyde Park in 1991 and the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert in 1992. His portfolio includes working with music legends like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, Elton John, U2, Madonna, Muse, The Rolling Stones, Shirley Bassey, Bob Dylan, and Oasis.
