Flarewave Festival is a vibrant Deaf-led arts celebration coming to Brighton this September.

Running from September 4th to 7th, 2025, the bi-annual event is a bold showcase of creativity, culture, and connection.

  • “Last Rites”: a moving non-verbal theatre piece blending visual storytelling and immersive sound’
  • “Reel Resonance: Stories That Sign”: a film and visual arts showcase brings together globally Deaf-led stories, with Q&As and full accessibility.
  • “See & Create”: a free, family-friendly art-making drop-in workshop open to all ages and abilities.
  • “Finale Fusion”: a high-energy closing celebration on blending comedy, immersive performance, poetry, and even rap!
  • “Let’s Share: Men to Men” and “The Feminist Journey Through Art”: thought-provoking panels exploring wellness, expression, and gender through Deaf-led conversation.
