Hold The Front Page

Hold The Front Page is a six-part series where Josh Widdicombe and Nish Kumar learn the ropes as local journalists. The show is commissioned by Sky One and produced by CPL Productions. The series is a funny and warm celebration of the culturally distinctive world of local newspaper journalism and the communities they exist in. Josh and Nish are based within a different local newspaper in each episode trying their very best to be trainee reporters. Their overall aim is to find and write a great story and hopefully get it published, with the front page being the ultimate ambition. With guidance and direction from the news team, they learn the ropes by conducting training exercise. CPL Productions approached us for assistance with the filming of episode 2 which sees the duo working as reporters on the West Sussex Gazette. As well as filming at private locations, there was a fair amount of street filming in Chichester, Worthing, Bognor Regis, and other West Sussex street locations for which we sorted out all the required permissions so filming could take place. In addition, they wanted to film using a drone so we ensured everything was in place to allow for the drone to be used – CAA license authorisation, insurance, Risk Assessments and a flight map for launch and landing.
