Battle Great Wood is located just outside the historical town of Battle and is part of the 1066 walk. This 200 acre area of woodland (including eucalyptus trees from Australia and New Zealand), heath, and meandering streams is one of 15 ancient woodlands in the High Weald, and has historic connections to Battle Abbey. There are plenty of pathways and trails and there is also a car park. A fantastic location for filming and photography.
