Historic Hotel and Spa

One of England’s oldest coaching inns dating back to 1430, this 39 bedroomed Tudor hotel is packed full of history and character, and is set in a pretty Sussex market town in the heart of the South Downs National Park. The bedrooms are all individually decorated (all ensuite), each of which is filled with antiques and art. There is a contemporary spa with an indoor swimming pool beneath a Scandinavian-style wood ceiling, and a private lawn. Features include inglenook fireplaces, four-poster beds in some of the rooms, oak-beamed bar, and a Jacobean Hall with minstrel gallery and heraldic banners.
