Bognor Regis is a traditional seaside resort just 100 minutes by train from London and a 20 minute drive from the South Downs National Park. The beach is is sand and shingle with large expanses of sand at low tide. East beach is the most popular beach and is closest to the town centre with a number of concession stands along the promenade that serve ice creams, hot and cold snacks as well as tea and coffee. There are also toilets on the promenade towards Butlin’s which is nearby. The promenade at Bognor Regis stretches some 2.7 miles all the way from Felpham to the east and Aldwick to the west.
