Charming Grade I Listed Medieval Church

This Grade I listed medieval church is situated in a rural hamlet in the West Sussex countryside. It is a simple building dating to the 12th century, with a deep sweeping roof and a dainty bell cote. Most furnishings and fittings date to the mid-19th century and comprise a largely complete early ecclesiological seating scheme which is of outstanding national historic interest. The font dates from the 12th century and is one of a series of arcaded Sussex marble fonts found in this region. The immediate surrounding area shows evidence of settlement from the Paleolithic period and there is evidence of a possible shrunken medieval village nearby.
