Harry Styles To Star In Hollywood Film Set In 1950s Brighton

Former One Direction singer Harry Styles is set to take to the Hollywood film industry by storm with his upcoming lead role in My Policeman a film adaptation of the 2012 novel by Bethan Roberts. My Policeman will be the second movie to star Styles along with upcoming thriller Don’t Worry Darling which also stars Florence Pugh. Prior to these projects, Styles made his first film appearance in Christopher Nolan’s, Dunkirk.

The hit novel My Policeman reveals the story is set in 1950s Brighton, England. A woman named Marion falls in love with a man named Tom, but years later, Tom strikes up a romance with Patrick, who he meets at a museum. Because of homophobia during the time period, it’s “safer” for Tom, a policeman, to marry Marion, but she and Patrick must share him, until one of them breaks and three lives are destroyed.

Mama Mia! Here We Go Again star Lily James is also set to co star alongside Harry Styles as his wife, Marion.
