Painting Birds with Jim & Nancy Moir

Jim and Nancy Moir continue their ornithological journey around the UK, and their focus is on the herring gull. Some of the UK’s youngest artists and ornithologists (aged 9-11) join them birdwatching and sketching on the beach in Folkestone. After collecting their own clay they go to Aylesford Pottery to transfer the cheeky personality of the herring gull onto plates. Finally, the children go to Brighton with Jim and Nancy to do some more sketching and bird spotting with a bird expert. They also hope to witness one of the UK’s most spectacular birding wonders – a starling murmuration – which they capture on canvas.

Drum Productions contacted us earlier this year as they wanted to film some GVs around the wonderful city and seafront of Brighton. Keep your eyes out on Sky.
