Saving Lives At Sea S10
Saving Lives at Sea is a BBC Two observational documentary series that follows the work of the RNLI as they respond to emergencies on Britain’s waters. The aim of the series is to present an authentic portrayal of the RNLI – Britain’s biggest volunteer emergency service.
In the tenth series, the crew used archive footage of rescues previously shot by the RNLI on their helmet cams and boat cams that a lot of the crews are issued with. On the selected stories the crew then filmed retrospective interviews and back stories of the RNLI crew who took part in the rescue – following their other life at work and home.
They would be filming interrotron interviews with the crew about their rescues and how volunteering with the RNLI fits into their lives. They would also film interviews with the rescued people if they are happy to be filmed and filming in the lifeboat stations.
As part of this new series (release date still to be announced), we facilitated filming in Brighton, Newhaven and Selsey.
