About Empress Coaches Hastings:
Empress Coaches are a Hastings based coach hire specialist, catering for small to medium group sizes with a modern air-conditioned fleet of 12, 22 and 35 seat vehicles.
Established in 1929 they are one of the longest operating coach company’s in the South East of England, and pride themselves on offering a friendly, bespoke service to their customers. Having worked on a number of film and television productions, such as The Great Escaper, Dunkirk, and Grey Owl, they are a trustworthy and reliable choice for your production.
Photoshoot bookings are also popular, with vehicles being used for fashion shoots, promotional video and as location stills. The Empress Coaches staff are flexible and accommodating to the needs for this type of work and what might be needed to capture that ‘special take’ and can dress in period costume should this be required. Their 1967 Bedford Plaxton coach is especially suitable for period productions from the start of the 1960’s into the 1990’s from when they were daily in operation.

Empress Coaches are ‘Film Friendly’, and therefore understand the needs and demands involved in location filming; giving their full attention to instructions and requests, as well as the safety of actors and crew using their vehicles, whether on the move or stationary. With a ‘can do’ attitude, they ensure tasks are undertaken efficiently.
The team have excellent knowledge of the Sussex and Kent areas, and will research everything beforehand, ensuring all options of what can be done on location is quickly fed to location managers and crew.
Of course! The drivers have experience of working in front of the camera as well as behind the scenes, and are more than happy to play any part.
