Top Locations in Brighton, with the NFTS
Back in September, we organised a tour of beautiful Brighton for the Creative Business Masters Degree students of the National Film and Television School!
The fantastic Lizzie Esson from the Brighton Outdoor Events Team took them around the city, and came prepared with a wonderful array of filming locations.
Feeling inspired? Why don’t you take a tour yourself to some of our most uniquely Brighton filming locations! Here are a few of the spots they visited…
- The North Laine – a vibrant, colourful hub of independent restaurants, pubs, cafés, shops and outdoor stalls.
- The Royal Pavilion – the stunning palace
- The Lanes – a maze of wiggly cobbled streets with shops and restaurants.
- The Palace Pier – old school seaside vibes; with fish and chip vendors and the like, a sizable arcade, and funfair rides at the further end. And of course excellent views to the seafront.
- The Bandstand – another very popular filming location for music videos and photoshoots.
- The Palace Pier – featuring the wonderful Upside Down House!
- Colourful Hove Beach Huts
- Blaker Street – another popular filming location with each house a different colour, stretching up a hill.
We had some lovely feedback from the National Film and Television School:
“It was GREAT. Lizzie was brilliant. She had really done her homework too and the laminated pictures of the scenes from Brighton the movies brought it to life. Thank you so much for arranging.”
Thank you to the team at NFTS for coming to visit our fantastic city, and thank you to the wonderful Lizzie for showing them around!
